The Expandable Brain

A few years ago I worked for a small company which was developing software for high speed MRI. My job was to run tests on it, making sure that alignment, orientation, etc. were correct - we can't have a doctor taking out the left lung if it's the right one that's diseased, after all.

Anyway, my coworker and I were running tests one morning, and we decided it would be easier to ascertain correct orientation on a real body rather than the liquid filled plastic cases usually used.

This shows not only the side view of my head (note: there is a brain in there), but see the dark vertical line? That's another scan being done at the same time.
